SYLVA, N.C. – Nicki Slusser has joined Jackson Paper Manufacturing as Vice President of Operations.
In her position, Slusser is responsible for the manufacturing activities at the mill.

“We are pleased to welcome Nicki to our team. She has a legacy of papermaking in her family and a wealth of experience working in the industry. We look forward to having her apply that knowledge and expertise to our operation,” said Tim Campbell, President and CEO of Jackson Paper.
Slusser most recently was Printing and Communications Papers Capital Manager with International Paper Company in Memphis. With 34 years in the paper industry, she has worked for International Paper, Champion and Mead in numerous operations management roles including Mill Manager of IP’s mill in Cantonment, Fla. In 1999, she was the first woman to be named president of the Paper Industry Management Association (PIMA) and also served on the Board of Directors of TAPPI (Technical Association of the Pulp and Paper Industry). She holds a B.S. in mechanical engineering from the University of Kentucky.

Jackson Paper Manufacturing Co. is an independently owned paper mill in Sylva, N.C., and the largest producer of 100-percent recycled paper in North Carolina.
