Jackson Paper Awards 2015 Scholarships

SYLVA, N.C. – Jackson Paper Manufacturing has awarded $500 scholarships to two North Carolina college students.

2015 scholarship winners are Jordan Cabe and Nicki Arrington.

Winners of Jackson Paper 2015 ScholarshipsArrington is currently enrolled in the Early Childhood Education program at Haywood Community College and is the daughter of Ronnie and Tracy Arrington of Waynesville.

Cabe, son of Tim and Deb Cabe of Franklin, is a Macon Early College senior who plans to attend Appalachian State University this fall, majoring in Forensic Anthropology.

Each of the recipients has a parent who is an employee at Jackson Paper.

Jackson Paper has been awarding college scholarships annually to the children of employees since 1992. Recipients are selected based on their grade point average, letters of recommendation, and school and community activities and honors.

Jackson Paper Manufacturing is an independently owned paper mill in Sylva, NC and the largest producer of 100% recycled paper in North Carolina.
